This has been a busy, but good Sunday. Started with a great worship service and an interesting message on God Alone through the story of David and Goliath. After each hour the weekend's "Back to School Bash" was still in full swing.
Other than the 300+ backpacks that were given out to families in the community on Saturday, there were hot rods, hot dogs, bouncy houses, horses, etc.
A fun, and well attended, community event.
Once home I was able to get a bit more sleep and then after bbq-ing hamburgers for lunch I got the kids outside to help me with the back patio project. Guess what? There is actually a useable patio again!
I will spend some time this week sweeping and getting all the cobwebs, etc. taken care of as well.
Meanwhile, inside the addition, you can see some of our stored items to the left.
This is looking from the connection point of the existing and new house. The next picture is looking towards the garage. Kitchen is to the left.
This is the lovely construction zone!
Another area used for some storage is the bedroom next to the master.
I finally have all my exercise stuff in one place! Mat, stability ball, weights. Yeah!
We had pulled Tim into the project to move two dressers inside and after we were all finished it was time for ice cream to reward hard work. Dairy Queen ahoy!
Tomorrow I will be going with Maegann to her Cognitive Therapy appointment and hopefully Isaac and I can make a trip to the dump in the afternoon. If it is too hot outside we will do that a different day.
