Hi, My name is Gina and this isn't my first time on the Spark people merry-go-round. More like my 4th or 5th attempt at losing weight and making healthy lifestyle changes. Every time I start I get all motivated and do well until I have a setback. I get angry or disappointed with myself and then I end up not coming back to SP. I can say its going to be different this time, I have definitely said it before, but I am serious about it this time around.

What's different this time around? I have a goal that means a lot to me. The husband and I are planning on buying a small piece of land near Asheville NC, so we can be closer to our eldest daughter and her family. I want to have a garden, and it's going to take a lot of work. I would also like to have chickens and a few other types of poultry. Someday, my dream is to have goats so I can use my own goats' milk in the soaps I make.

How am I going to reach my goals? I am going to use my trackers, both activity and food. I will be journaling here or in my home journal, and I will be checking in daily here at SP. I am going to post pictures of chickens, ducks and gardens on my mirror/fridge to keep me motivated and pushing towards my goal.

Today is day 1, and my major goals for today were to drink my water, get some steps in, reset my SparkPeople account, and post my first blog post.

I think I did pretty good.
