Someday I want to have a big garden and chickens. Someday when I have grandchildren I want to be healthy and fit enough to keep up with them. Someday I want to be healthier and finally be able to just walk into any store and buy clothes off the rack. Someday I want to be off most of my meds.

We all have our somedays... how do we take them out of the someday list and put them on the now list?

One of the ways is by setting goals and turning those into habits.

Today, some of my goals are to drink my water, exercise for at least 15 mins, get my steps in, journal, and track my food. Every day I meet those goals, I help turn those activities into habits. Each one of those habits will help me lose weight, change my mindset, and become successful. Once I meet those goals, I can find new goals to meet and so on.

So today I am going to track my food, drink my water and get my steps in.

Someday is going to be a lot sooner than I ever thought.

You are on the right track - setting reasonable goals that are just a bit out of reach helps - and taking one or to goals to work on I find really helps.
I worked hard on getting my food pretty much under control - I know have a great food plan and when I follow it I lose consistently - and it is a keeper. Also I have just started walking in July - have mobility issues - have not really seen any weight loss yet but I know that will come soon as I put together my 5 days of walking along with staying on track with the food - consistency is what gets me there - taking it one day at a time.
