4 lbs is a victory. but the battle isnt over.

Monday, August 26, 2019

Some things just make you wonder the mysteries of the world.
For example....I finally got on the scale this morning...I lost 4 lbs since last weigh in, which was 2.5 weeks ago.
That wasnt bad.
2 lbs a week.
I can sit and think in my head the foods I ate that might have hindered my progress.
But I added alot more cardio....doing aerobics almost daily, stair stepping and even added some low impact weigh workouts.
and for the past week I have really counted calories and especially carbs.
Dont get me wrong, I am happy with the loss.
But I had really hoped for ONE MORE POUND!!
Beach vaca in 4 days....wonder if I can get that one more pound by then?
Will it make a big difference in my clothes??
Probably not, maybe it will make the long drive a little more comfortable.....
Just because vaca is coming and will be over in by this time next week....I am not stopping my work.
I have cut corners, calories, etc and added workouts but if 4 lbs is my reward I will take it and be happy it wasnt a gain.

Keep up the good work. Clearly, it is supporting your desire to shed some pounds. Consistency is an incredibly powerful thing. And, sometimes, when you least expect it the scale lurches downward. It seems that the body will go through periods of releasing excess weight and working its repair and recovery magic. It is during these periods of repair and recovery that one may see the scale holding steady. Remain consistent and know that your healthy choices are making a difference. Trust that your body is doing what it needs to do and the excess weight will be shed as the body restores its balance and health.

    Good for you!!! emoticon emoticon
