First blog :)

Wednesday, August 28, 2019

Well this is my first try at blogging so bear with me pls :)
I’ve been trying to loose weight my whole life now without success
Sometimes I had a little bit of success just to be wiped off by a huge failure afterwards rendering me more heavy and more broken than before
It’s a known story of everyone who’s batteling that extra weight with some yo-yo dieting and no real will or determination.
Even today I don’t feel that motivation to start really pushing myself to achieve my goal. I’ve wished it for sooooo long but somehow am not prepared to work for it. I guess it has to do with the fact that I am too used to being comfortable and sedentary and don’t even want to make myself less comfortable just a little bit for myself although I do it for others. Don’t get me wrong I am a hard worker and I push myself out of my comfort zone alot but not when it comes to my body, my health or relationships , things that I’m used to being bad at :/ Nobody expects me to succeed so I don’t need to make the extra effort or walk the extra mile. But the problem is that by doing so I’m not only hurting myself but also disappointing others around me that share my dream. I’m sorry for the gloomy and depressing first blog :) It‘s just what’s on my mind right now.

Reading other people's stories is a great reminder to you that you are NOT in this alone. We all have a story with a common theme...free your mind and the rest will follow is my first bit of best advice...the second is to get up and move! with a friend emoticon or with a pet emoticon just 15 minutes a day can make a HUGE difference! emoticon emoticon

It all begins someplace and you just started there. Sp is the way to do it.

We want to remember it took us a few years to put our weight on and it comes off a little at a time, just like it went on. People get frustrated with it not coming off faster than we put it on. But with consistent focus on doing what we are told on SP we will hit our objective. Like many things it just wont get there overnight.

Make sure you make one of your most focused goals you water intake. Myself, when I hit plateaus its because I am not doing the water correct. I found using a reminder on my phone to be very helpful in making sure I keep on track with the water

See what you have accomplised. You wrote your first blog. You have had the opportunity to have positive encouragement to do something healthier daily. You are worth the effort so now change something in your eating that adds a vegetable or fruit. Stand tall and move ten minutes more today then you did yesterday. Remember the people here are living lives of weight challenges and it is their desire you succeed and find the way to a healthier life.

Welcome ... You've already taken the first step, you are here. Little steps or changes do add up. A lot of good information and encouragement on this site. You can do it ... do it for yourself because you deserve it! I have mobility issues, so a lot of my exercises are done laying down or sitting in a chair ... turn on some music and move to the music! The nutrition tracker is a big help for me, it makes me conscious of what I am eating. Lots of recipes on the site and lot of supportive people here too. The first step is the hardest ... U can do this!!! emoticon

First thing that helped me was to recognize that yo-yo dieting does not show an absence of willpower. Think about the number of ridiculously restrictive diets you have put up with. Now, ask yourself how many normal healthy people would suffer through all of those rules and deprivations. I needed to learn to make healthier choices, not because of some arbitrary rules, but because I chose them. Learning that healthy food doesn't leave you hungry or resentful, but satisfied and energetic. Choose tasty foods. Don't beat yourself up. Start small - add first instead of taking things away. For instance, add more water, add an extra serving of veggies, add a cup of soup or a salad before your dinner. When you add to what you are already eating, you feel full sooner. Then you can try switching things out - switch from a Big Mac, to a regular size burger. Switch from fried chicken to broiled or roast chicken. Switch from a large piece of cake to a cup of pudding and a couple (2-3 depending on size) of cookies. Don't say "I can't have that" change your thinking to "I CAN have whatever I choose, but I choose to make more healthier choices than unhealthy ones." If you go for the giant burger, maybe you choose a piece of fresh fruit instead of a piece of cake this time. Tomorrow, you might choose the smaller burger and have a piece of cake. It doesn't have to be ALL or nothing. Make a deal with yourself to take care of you! You deserve to be healthier! It will help you to be happier as well. Know that not every meal or every day will be healthy but they can all be made healthier with a few different choices made more often.

Welcome. You won't accomplish anything in your present mind-set. Make a plan. Set a small goal like loosing 5 pounds in one or two months. Stay on this site. Track your food. Try to eat so many veggies and fruit each day. There is a challenge on the site to track them. Try a video. Dance your Ass off. Try Zumba. Find something you like. Start small. Each day do something healthy and add on from there. emoticon emoticon

    Hope this helps.
