Well I guess I have strayed away from sparkpeople. But you know what? I am back. I am going to try to keep at it on here to keep myself accountable.

So here is what I have been up to. I am below 200 lbs! I don't know what got into me but I decided I want to be little again, I want my A1c to be NORMAL, I want to start to reduce my medications. All of which I have always wanted, but for some reason I am accomplishing now. I will be weighing myself later this week. I have tried many things. I started using an app called Carb Manager. I LOVE THIS APP! IT WORKS FOR MEEEEE! I have one of my sons and my husband using it too. I am not sure how faithfully THEY are using it but it has really worked for me. It has many different types of "diets" (for lack of a better description) AND you can adjust it and tweek it to fit what works for you so you actually see results. I also notice on this app the things you look up are actually accurate! I can also put my own recipes on there. What I do for the recipe is I go on sparkpeople, create a recipe, then transfer the info into that app manually. Works great for me. I have lost around 50 lbs. I around because I still need to weigh in this week yet. I have done the apple cider vinegar and lemon juice. That has helped my acid reflux in a big way. I also have found amazing success with 20-4 intermittent fasting. Not just with my weight but my A1c is .1 away from being NON diabetic! I have started lowering my insulin which is absolutely incredible! I am going to keep doing what I am doing and pray I keep getting great results. And before I get people on me, yes my doctor knows, yes my doctor is on board, and yes my doctor is happy for and very proud of me! I also hit the gym as much as I am able (3-5 times a week) I do weights and/or up to 6 miles on the recumbent bike.
I have had a tornado of a year! Some major things, my brother in law has started contact with our family again after 15 years +/-. My oldest son's biological father is now in our lives after 24 years! And it is going very well! AND my best friend since before I was in 4th grade is now back in my life!!!!!!!! I am so proud of her and we will never lose touch again if I have anything to say about it (she says the same).
I turn 47 this year and don't want to go into that birthday the same way I have gone into the last 17. I aim for this one to be so much better.
Ok, so....I am back. I am looking into keto to add to my system. I have at least 60 more lbs to lose. I was over 240 lbs at my largest. I stopped getting on the scale when I saw 240. I am 5'1" and I had been tiny all my life. UNTIL kids. And I just let myself go.
