Summer 2019 Update
Thursday, September 19, 2019
Been a long time since I wrote a blog. It has been a crazy summer. Yoga was awesome – I only missed three Saturdays. The garden grew like crazy – the big grower this year was yellow squash. I got very little tomatoes this year where I got over 100 last year…weird! Herb has been in a straight cast since July so that has been frustrating but we are just about at the end of the road. Hope to have the cast off and into a brace come October 9th. It’s been a good summer but did not get to go on vacation due to Herb’s mobility issues. Of course, the year is not over and we may go to Florida in November – time will tell.
I decided to take my yoga journey to a new level. I started a 4-week beginners’ class on Wednesday Nights. I already did 3 classes and next Wednesday will be the last. It has proved to be very good and I am learning the correct ways to do the moves. It’s different than I was doing – so I’m basically learning all over again. I am loving the class and learning a lot. I still hate planks and downward facing dog but I have found out I have been doing them wrong --- using my arms instead of my core. I’m working on fixing that – someday I may say I love those two moves – who knows!
My weight loss is still stalled. I’m working hard and I know the pounds will come off. I will not give up. I did have a 1 ½ lb loss this week….hope it keeps going in that direction!
