Last night we had low carb meatloaf and mashed cauliflower.
I had 2 servings but only ate one and some pistachios.
I am calling today Determination Day.
I woke up before 6 am. I packed my son and husband's lunch. I took my son to school early. I took my fasting blood sugar 111. I did my insulin and meds and drank 2 waters. I went to the gym and did leg weights for 40+ minutes and pushed myself. I did hip (in) abductors at 85 lbs 100 times, 90 lbs 40 times. Seated leg curls 20 lbs 10 times, 30 lbs 40 times. Hip abductors (out) 85 pounds 20 times, 90 pounds 60 times, 85 pounds 20 times again. Seated leg press 50 pounds 50 times, 60 pounds 50 times. Then calves on the same machine 60 pounds 40 times. Yes I do sets and reps but figured it is more impressive to myself if I put the total amount. Now, I am trying to burn fat yet not burn muscle. I have gotten weak over the years. I used to lift weights in a serious way back in the day. I have really gotten weak for me. So, I am going to try to build that back up. My upper body really needs help to build strength! I hate working my upper body because it is so uncomfortable for me. But I will work through the discomfort and get business done. I will do my best to get to the gym 4 days a week. Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturdays. I want to do one day legs, one day upper, one day upper and lower and abs, and one day cardio. I will rotate the days probably. And do my best to push the amount of weight. Even if I have to start low, I WILL work my way back up. My goal is not to bulk up but to be lean and defined. I am short and bulk easily both with fat and muscle. So I will make sure I pay attention.
Ok, so I do a 20-4 intermittent fasting. And it REALLY works for me. I do get all my calories and macros in that 4 hour window. My doctor IS ON BOARD and SUPPORTIVE and also VERY PROUD AND IMPRESSED with me and my progress. I am pretty happy for myself because I have not been below 190 in ages. As of today I am 189 lbs!
Now, my coffee maker has been on the fritz in a bad way. I attempted to clean it out with vinegar last night but it isn't working. So I may have to take it apart and check into it more. I sure hope it isn't broken and I can't fix it. Determination Day!
