AHHHHHH I did a good thing today! My life has been so crazy this week. On the road so much! I had at least 3 hours of driving first thing this morning and I KNEW I had a lower body work out I was supposed to do today. Well as I was headed back....I just was not in the mood. But I started to reason with myself in my head. Does that make me crazy?? haha Well I told myself, my weeks have been getting off schedule. I need to make a change. I usually do two days cardio and two days weights at the least. I do bike for cardio and split the weight days into upper body and lower body. And we all know how much I don't look forward to upper body days. Well I recruited someone to go to the gym with me today. Not only did I do that, I decided I was going to do BOTH upper AND lower body today AND abs!!! AND I DID IT!!!! And boy did it kick my behind! I am betting I will be sore tomorrow. I hope so. Tomorrow will be a rest day. Saturday will be a cardio day then I will have 3 days off probably. I am going to try to start using the upright stationary bike instead of the recumbent bike. I am nervous about it hurting my back.
This was my work out today:
Shoulder press 25#-3 sets of 10
Seated leg curls 55#-3 sets of 10
Pull downs 50# 1 set of 10 55#-1 set of 10 60#- 1 set of 10
Hip abductions outs 100# -5 sets of 10
Row machine 50# 1 set of 10 60# 1 set of 10 65# 1 set of 10
hip abduction outs 100# 5 sets of 10
Bicep curl 65# 2 sets of 10
Tricept extensions 60# 2 sets of 10
Squat machine 90# 5 sets of 10
Calves 60# 5 sets of 10
bench press 45#bar + 35#= 80# 3 sets of 10
Crunches on ball 3 sets of 10 regular 1 set of 10 left twist 1 set of 10 right twist

I had scrambled eggs and left over pot roast for dinner last night. Tonight will be saute spinach and mushrooms and 2 vadallia burger patties . And BOY do I look forward to it!

My weight is down again, 182.8. HARD WORK, DETERMINATION, SELF CONTROL and SELF DISCIPLINE! Grrrrrrrrrrrr I'm getting it done!!!!!!!! Grrrrrrrrrrrr emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

    Recumbent bike should be better for your back than a regular upright bike unless you have the handlebars set really high so you aren't bent over.

    Wow, those are some impressive weights! I agree that you will be sore, but it may be delayed. Give those muscles lots of time to rebuild. emoticon
