The American Museum in England - yes, it's a thing!

Not far from us is the American Museum which they say is "the only museum of American decorative and folk art outside the United States".
It's a beautiful place, set in the countryside just outside Bath in South West England.
One of my favourite visits there was a few years ago for an exhibition for Kaffe Fassett, knitter, textile designer and all-round crafty genius. Volunteers had decorated the driveway and even the trees with knitted decorations to set the scene.
Inside there were fabulous examples of his work.
But my favourite bit was a mock-up of his work room.
I hinted to my other half that I would love a room like this to do my crafty work in.
OK, I more than hinted.
I may have ranted a bit, so over-excited was I!
Did it work?
Well not yet.
I'm an optimist though.
It could happen...
So could a white Christmas...
Oh no, wait, I mean...
Or me winning the lottery...
Hey ho. I'll just carry on dreaming...
Anyway, we are planning another trip to the museum soon. Kaffe Fassett currently has another exhibition on there so I may get there for that. Or, if it's later, they always do a wonderful job of decorating the house for Christmas.
