I've been a bit... IDK slow recently. I've had low energy, didn't really feel like doing anything. But because I've quit my job I have more time for cosplay work, which has been fun. But now I am realizing just how out of the norm my weight and size is. I have had a goal to lose weight for a small "competition" with an ex-colleague as well as going from my current 275-280 to 225 by Valentine's Day. If I make it, me and my brother will be going to Katsucon. If not, he will not go and I probably won't either since cons are not near as fun without someone to be with and it's not worth the money if I'm not going to enjoy it. A new goal now is to fit this shirt by that time. It's going to be a LOT of work, but if I do it right, I think I can do it.
Action steps: limit carbs. While I understand the value of carbs, most, if not all, of my overeating is in the form of carbs. It also severely limits my options, so overall I'll probably eat less. I also think I am going to go back to trying to walk and do push-ups and sit-ups every day. Before I fell off the wagon (back in 2014), I had a program to do cardio every day, and do 25 each push-ups and sit-ups every day. It didn't have to be all at once but it had to be done. But it made me feel strong, doing those exercises, so it's more for self confidence than for fitness. I eventually ranked it up all the way to 75 each and was working on getting the hang of one handed pushups, before I fell off the wagon. I also have the goal that, after Katsucon, I will not attend any away cons until I am under 200 lbs. This is extremely important because one of my cosplay goals is to win a competition at a major con, perhaps even go to WCS one day.
