I believe you all do this already but... As the holidays approach ahead... Let's take a moment to consider PAYING IT FORWARD now … the kindness someone bestowed on Your life or on the life of someone you know...
it is just nice to be KIND is all I am saying because ya never know what someone is going thru by you touching their lives for a brief moment.
Yesterday, Sunday = I went to the dollar store to do some shopping.
I went in to get a pair of gloves to keep my fingers warm as I exercise in the park daily and ya know how you go in for ONE thing and get a cart full? Well literally 99 dollars later (yes they had these lovely heavy duty long heavy rugs and I brought 21 of those, etc...
I paid the cashier and noticed the young lady next to me with two kids...
I whispered to her... do you mind if I pay for your stuff?
She looked at me hesitantly and I said it's okay really, may I? she said okay.
it was a small purchase of $20.00 but I figured she could use that $20 that she did not have to pay and use it for food or gas for her car.
Next I went to Perkins restaurant with my son same day and it was PACKED with families and wonderful people, etc. and I noticed the waitresses were running ragged swiftly carrying trays and accommodating people, never complaining, etc. I remembered when I used to waitress when I was in my twenties and my feet hurt by the end of the day and some days were tough but ya gotta support your kids so you do what you have to do.
Our check was $37 and I gave the waitress a $20.00 tip and she was sooo happy poor baby.
I share these experiences for the SOLE purpose of saying... when we CAN... maybe we can share a little more to help someone else... some random person in a SAFE setting.....
(dont do this out in the street where someone can grab your wallet and keep running, just be wise)
Like once I was going to pay my check at the register in Perkins restaurant and this man who was CLEARLY homeless was sitting INSIDE in the lobby tying his shoes, asking for a cup of water.. I sat next to him and asked him if it would be okay to pay for his breakfast and he shyly said okay and I asked the cashier to like give him a menu and I would pay for his breakfast.... Minimal kindness goes a long way I think... at least I knew he would be EATING food and not drinking food if you know what I mean. hugs.
My suggestion... just be kind when you CAN, hugssssssssssssssssssss
whether feeding an animal
or helping people
it is MOST appreciated... so please continue to be kind, hugs
