Weekend good busies

Saturday was comfortably busy. I met a work friend for breakfast. There's nothing like someone else's problems to make your own look pretty minor. In the afternoon, my sister and I took some of our mom's things and a portrait to her boyfriend. We had a good visit, and he showed us his family history collection. His is even better organized than my mom's, and I hope his children appreciate the effort he put into it. I spent some more time at mom's condo sorting art supplies. My niece is keeping much of it, but there's still a lot. I found a Irish wool sweater I'd been looking for; I'll wear it when I go to Ohio in November.
I stayed home Sunday and ended up having a really good day. I've been wanting pumpkin curry soup so I made some. It has onions, celery, apples, pie spice, and curry, and it sure tasted good. I'm looking forward to a big bowl this evening.
I host a meeting tonight and got most of my tidying done so there'll be only a little to do when I get home. Husband and I needed one financial statement we haven't been able to lay our hands on, so between other MISSIONS, I sorted papers. I've finally made real inroads on the paper organizing that I had started in August. Two boxes are emptied, I had a big pile to shred, and what I sorted is better organized. Not done by any means, but I could see progress, and we found what we were looking for, along with a few things that shouldn't have been in my sorting boxes. Cleaning out is good for the soul.
My big boy kitty was having tummy issues this morning, and by the time I cleaned up after him, there was no time to make a lunch. I grabbed an apple and bought a yummy and filling stuffed pepper in the cafeteria. I'll have nuts for a snack later.
