Every fall for the last 12 years or so, I've ask myself am I going to join in or not? November is national novel writing month (NaNoWriMo). I'm in this year and am off with a start of 1500 words. My novel isn't a novel, but is instead a memoir. Maybe it will become a novel...but this is where I'm starting.
The writing process helps me in so many ways. I look back on life and forward too. It energizes me. So over the next 30 days 50,000 words is a goal (i.e. 1,667 words per day).
I'm also determined to lose weight as we enter the holiday season. So it's going to be hot soups loaded with veggies and exercise for the body as well as the mind. My goal is 10 pounds. It's aggressive, but why set the bar low?
Last night was a bummer for trick or treaters we had windy snowy weather. For Indiana this is not normal, but it can happen and did. We got 1 kid and I tossed in extra "loot" into her bucket. This made dad smile. Be careful of those calories dad!

Best wishes on your November goals. Maintaining weight would be a great accomplishment this time of year and losing weight would be a great head start into the new year. 31 days ago
