When is your favorite quiet moment? Is it in the last lingering moments of darkness before the dawn breaks? Is it over your morning cup of coffee as you gaze out the window on your world? Is it in the soft, serenity of candlelight that caresses you and gently lulls you into yourself?

My favorite moments are when the rest of the world is quiet, and I can feel the oneness of myself and my surroundings dissolve like cream into my morning cup of coffee.

The night sky is another magnet for me, and always draws me in as I gaze up into a clear, crisp night sky with its blanket of stars. This is when I easily lose myself and my boundaries as I feel the release of the burdens of the day, the loss of expectations, and the feeling of contentment that covers me like a warm, cozy blanket. My heart and soul are calm, and I am fully present in that moment, and I am grateful. I breathe deeply to cleanse and release any pain or anxiety in my body or from the day. I invite the universe that is spread out above me to fill me with a sense of well-being and peace, and calm me from the busy-ness of my day.

The truth is that we don’t have to wait for these moments of mindfulness. We just need to open our eyes to find them waiting within our day. Most of us don’t give a second thought to this. We label it as a luxury - when in reality it is for our balance and well-being.

Open all your senses to those moments in your day - to the jewel-like hues of a sunrise or sunset, to the song of the leaves as they rustle in the trees, to the soft, melodic rhythm of the falling rain. . .

Give yourself permission to be open and present to allow yourself these “little bits of wonder and healing throughout your day. Give yourself permission to receive “the present” that always awaits you.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful finish to your week.
