Spraying for bed bugs again....

Thursday, November 07, 2019

Got a notice on my door today. They are spraying the building for bed bugs on the 13th. I have lived in apartments for most of the past 40 years but never had my apartment sprayed as often in all the previous 30 plus years as I have had in the 7 1/2 years I have been in this building,.....

This is a different company than sprayed before. The instructions are mostly the same - move all furniture 2 feet away from all walls, empty closets - linen, broom, storage and pile in the middle of the floor - And they also advise to remove baseboards on walls adjacent to the next door units and unplug all cords from wall outlets.. I have never had to remove baseboards before. And piling everything in the middle of the floor in this tiny place leaves absolutely no place to walk.

I absolutely HATE this. I don't have the physical strength and stamina to basically pack up my home in less than one week. and then put everything away again a couple of days later.

I wish I could afford to move but.....

OH gosh! So sorry. I think MORTICIA is right. Talk to a lawyer and see what you can do to get them to help! I would think you're not the first nor the last tenant who has challenges making this a difficult request!

    Good luck.

What a nightmare. I would talk to a lawyer for a consultation and see what you can do to get them to help.

Oh,.I am so sorry. They should help. I could not imagine having to move everything away from the walls then back again. Having worked in health care... I have seen rooms isolated and treated. It is a lot of work.
