A few years ago, I was caring for my then young grandson. One day when we got to his bus stop, these little shoes were sitting on the bench. Aren't they adorable? I tried to imagine what little girl they belonged to and why they had been left behind. What small steps her little feet must have taken. Did she leave from that bench barefoot? It was a mystery.
I thought of these shoes today because I was planning what small steps I can take today on my weight loss journey. Every time I make a small step, it takes me closer to my goal.
I am planning my meals so I do not get off track. I track all of my food, even if it is not the best choice. I am going to work with my trainer this morning at the gym. I am going to visit my SP teams to encourage and get encouraged. I am going to spin the SP wheel and get some points. I am going to reach out to someone. I am going to share a smile. I am going to do something kind. I am going to list the best thing that happens today.
ALl of these are small steps, like those little shoes make. But they all add up to success.
