Moving Forward (With a Few Rocks in the Road!)

Sunday, November 10, 2019

We finally got back from our vacation. We went to Boise, Idaho, for 2 days to see DH's youngest brother and then to Las Vegas for 1 day to gamble and a take in a show. I would never plan a short trip like that again - with all the airline delays, reroutes, etc., we spent more time in airports than on vacation. While racing through the airports, I found that my heart and lungs were worse than I thought so ended up arranging a wheelchair for a couple of plane changes. It was fun though, and it was so good to reconnect with the "baby brother" and his family!

I was still having problems after my gall-bladder surgery the end of August so went for more tests. They did find that I am lactose/sucrose intolerant as well as sensitive to wheat so will be doing a special diet for a while. Also will be doing more allergy testing for the next few weeks to find out what else is causing sensitivity so am feeling a little discouraged.

In spite of all the glitches, I am back and ready to work toward reaching my goal weight and smoothing out all my health issues as I go!

Love and hugs to all my Spark Friends. I'm cheering you on. I do appreciate each and every one of you.

I have absolutely no patience for airline stuff anymore and am glad I travelled a lot in the past. Keep your chin up and look on the bright side - your results could've been something more serious but were not. Have a wonderful day.
