ONe day a friend and I were driving around following a self guiding tour to covered bridges in the area. As we were waiting at a light, we saw this sign and I had to take a photo of it. We laughed so hard we were crying.
We wondered who would need this expert? A mother trying to teach her kids proper hygiene? A medical school instructing future doctors? A restaurant owner training his employees? WHo knew there was even such a thing as a hand washing expert?
I thought of it today as I was thinking about my weight gain this week.
Because I have been on this journey for so long, mentally do I feel like I am an expert? DO I dismiss new ideas which might help me? DO I just keep doing the same exercises because I think I am an expert at them? Have I tried any new recipes lately or do I feel like I am already an expert at preparing healthy food?
I need to get over myself and take a good look at everything I am dong so "expertly". I am not an expert, no matter how long I have been trying to get into a healthy lifestyle. Obviously I do not know best because things are not working. Maybe I need to get back to basics and see a hand washing expert to show me how little I really understand.
