Don’t put it off til after the holidays. Start taking your steps towards a better lifestyle now. It really NEVER gets better because something always comes up as an eating occasion. A “Just this once” of some sort. An “I’ll eat this and then I’ll be good starting tomorrow.”

Face this one fact. Food is delicious and it isn’t going anywhere. It will be there tomorrow and the next day and the next. That’s actually good news. It means we don’t ever have to diet! There is no more of that “This is the last _____ I’ll ever eat.” It never is anyway. We can choose, since food is always there, to calm down and have some and have some at the next meal. Measured portions. Track your food. Eat what you want, just not all at once. One of my concepts is having my seconds at the next meal.

So when temptations start coming this season, all the candies, the goodies... you probably fall into one of two categories. One who should avoid the first compulsive bite and thus the binge. OR one who can take a small portion and be satisfied with drinking water after.
