Road trip success

Pictured is Autumn Big Eyes, yes that is her name. I call her Autumn but my son calls her big eyes. She was watching the parking lot from our hotel room. She was a good traveler for the most part.
We made it to Omaha Nebraska and back to Chicagoland successfully. It sleeted a bit in Iowa going and rained a tad coming home. I got my birthday tattoo which I will blog about once it's healed nicely, we are at a scabby phase tight now... kind of like a snake molting. LOL. We got to see many old friends, family (hadn't seen in years) and locale. My eats were not great, I confess my weight is up, 1.6 lb. That could have been worse, so o.k. I really had a good start. Ate a good breakfast and packed baggies of pre-measured almonds for car food. Stopped at a rest stop and got grapes that were delicious. Drank less water than I should have but....we were traveling, there aren't enough rest stops for the kind of water consumption Sparklers do. 😂
Here's a cool thing. A friend is making dog treats and makes on called boomstick, which has Valarian, and chamomile (a herb, calming) in it. All organic. I bought a bag for Hossa, the anxiety dog. I do believe it works. He has not chewed his feet since I got home! If you are interested in where to order them it is https://loveyopup.com/
Now, back to reality and then some. I feel like turning ,70, the road trip and all that went down the past 5 days was a paradigm shift for me. Look at me using big words. That means a fundamental change in my approach to things. Not a huge shift but enough to break loose from a less than perfect pattern. I have a vision to pursue, renewed impetus to accomplish some goals that have started to languish. I think that without this road trip, disruption in my life, I was slipping into a weak and feeble state, not the person I want to be! Today is going to be the diving board for the changes. I have to regroup, which means I am going to take a long look at the kitchen and get my groceries in order, take a long look at the workout plan and a long look at time management. THEN! I am going to pursue the good things with renewed passion. YEA ME!
I am back and I am BAD!
