2020 Vision
Tuesday, November 19, 2019
"2020 Vision" has been my motto for 2020 for awhile now.
I started a Facebook group right after gaining two years in a row in 2017, and barely used it. I just updated my yearly weight measurements on the front of my SparkPage.
I’ve been feeling pretty down about it, about to hit my 12 year mark from the start of my major weight loss in 2008.
So I ran back through my numbers where I keep my Jan 1st weight, lowest and highest for the year. And yes, I have gained every year since my divorce. Until I started that Facebook group, and I’ve maintained within 20 lbs for the past 3 years.
But the fact is that even with the gains I’ve maintained significant loss from 10 years ago. And this is what I need to remember... because I was letting the slide get me down, destroying my confidence that I have the ability to change my weight and fitness level.
And weight is a small snapshot of it. My FITNESS at this same weight is NOT what it was 11+ years ago. Surgery in 2015, back and heel issues this year have made a significant decline in my activity level, and my eating habits fluctuated.
So looking ahead to 2020, I’m making more prepared meals, and about to start more flexibility plan, and devising a lung conditioning plan.
Here we go.
