Hard to believe that it has been more than a month since I posted a blog. Time is at a premium. We spent an almost normal holiday. Brad and family came in town Thursday morning and met us at my brother's house for Thanksgiving. First time the grandkids all met and played together. Reminded me of some of my earlier memories of holidays at my Grandma's. All the cousins met on the holidays. If was fun have fun under the age of 5 running underfoot. Then on Friday they came over to our house for our usual immediate family's meal. I was glad that Chris and Brad had time to connect. But the time goes by so fast. Brad and family headed home on Friday evening so they could rest up before the trip to New Your for his second treatment. The first one went well, with minimum side effects. I think he is losing weight again as he looked thinner to me but he insists he is at a goof weight. What does a dad know? They were supposed to fly to NY on Monday morning but since there is bad weather due in NY on Monday morning Southwest let them change their flight so they are going today to NY to make sure he gets there safely. Coming home tomorrow evening could be fun! It was so nice to see him enjoy himself this weekend. He got on my back about no doing enough to lose my weight to get my knees replaced. Friday was so interesting with the kids and the dogs. Reagan is afraid of them so whenever she wasn't being held or if a dog wandered by her she would throw a fit. But Emerson made up with them. Today we had a break with no PSR this morning due to the holiday, so we are kicking back and taking it easy. Slept in (until 8:00) and just watching a bunch of recorded Hallmark Christmas movies. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and I will try and get back here sooner.
