Carl and Christmas
Monday, December 02, 2019
Carl as an obedient and more mellow eight and a half months, knows to leave the Christmas tree alone. He looks peaceful here, vegging on the couch and watching the world go by out grandma's windows.
I remember when Carl was very small, and a lot more work to keep in line, his daddy saying it was worth the work with a puppy because of the wonderful dog he would become. I believe we are seeing the results of that, already, as Carl's temperament has been so good for training, and between my son and I, we have worked to be consistent about giving him those all-important guard-rails.
Oh, he still gets excited to greet people, but he knows the routine, and today completely astounded me, by leaving the Prisoner under the couch ALONE! Prisoner had decided to stand his ground today. Prisoner had been outside overnight, and was really enjoying the cozy warmth of inside and my lap. I offered him the chance to escape, and he very deliberately and without rush, chose instead to duck under the couch. Yes, the same couch Carl is laying on in the photo above! Prisoner is under it, even at the moment the photo was snapped.
You'd think they knew Santa was coming?
Meanwhile the two cats had a sibling standoff yesterday:
Life is good. Savor it this day, and be kind to yourself with good choices that your body will thank you for! After all, it's the only Monday, December 2, 2019 we shall ever get!
