Two Day Streak of Working Out.
Tuesday, December 03, 2019
I have been doing the Jenny Ford Walking Across America Videos. At first I would choose the shortest ones and was doing around two to three a week. This time, I decided to start from the beginning and just go through them until I hit 50. I had completed the first two last week and did number 3 and 4 so far. It was funny doing the 3rd one which featured Las Vegas. There she was marching in place and all these people behind her getting their pictures made under the Las Vegas sign. I was laughing and working out and finished up without realizing how much I had done. Today, was Hawaii and it was windy. It had me thinking of getting to my goal so my husband and I can go there both fit and healthy.
I completed a successful 5:2 fast yesterday as I stuck it with the 500 calories. I almost beat up my husband because he talked about eating chicken wings for lunch and I have been craving it a lot. Well, today, if I want them, I can eat them. My TDEE for my nonfast days is over 1800 and I want to get to at least 1800 and drink lots of water. I got in my water yesterday and that made me very excited. My goal is to get in my water during this time to prepare me on my journey to weight loss. I really want to see a four pound a month loss which averages to a pound a week. I know if I keep this up it would be a 52 lbs loss or 48 pounds if I did it in a month. This means I could be 138. Wow! that would be so great. But right now I want to reach my first goal of 179 and if I do the goal that I am working for that would be in 7 weeks. I feel so motivated that I think I can do this. Of course, one thing that may slow me down is an additional baby coming, but I should have a little time off to get me going and schedule in my walks. My biggest challenge is to do the video when others are home. I feel embarrassed when my son and husband are home, but I need to get over that. I am worried about all the candy and deserts that will be heading our way, but if I use restraint, but not deny, except on FAST days, I should be fine. I hope this week I will make shortbread cookies and work on making more in the weeks ahead and give them out as gifts to our neighbors like we used to do.
My goals for the rest of the year.
1. Get in my water.
2. Do my workouts
3. Spread out my baking so less stress
4. Start present inventory.
5. Enjoy the magic of Christmas through my grandchildren.
This is the first year I have been motivated with Christmas since my parents died. I still miss them and it will be year 4 without my mom and year 2 without my dad. They have been giving me signs about moving on and making family a priority. I will do my best and really start enjoying my retirement now.
I hope everyone is doing well.
