24 Days of Tea

Tuesday, December 03, 2019

With all the shenanigans at Base Camp over the last few days, I forgot to tell you that when I went home recently, daughter had a little gift for me.  A 24 Days of Tea Advent Calendar.

I haven't had an advent calendar since I was a child and have to admit to being ridiculously chuffed with it.  Day one was Jasmine tea which was subtle but very nice.  Day two was a challenge.  I couldn't find the '2' on the damn calendar.  Eventually daughter told me where to find it.  Well worth it as it was peppermint which is a favourite of mine.  Today's delight was 'Orange spice' tea which was pleasant.  It's lovely having a little surprise to look forward to each day.  Little things please little minds eh?  Indeed.  And bigger fools look on.

Meanwhile, the Insurance Company called me today asking various questions because it's a 'new policy'.  Back in the day, when you bought a 12 month policy cover started from the day you bought it.  Now it seems you're questioned if you make a claim on what they deem to be a 'new policy'.  Come on now, if I were going to make a fraudulent claim, would I really put myself through days without water?  And how would it benefit me given I'm not claiming for any damaged property?  Ah well, I guess it's just the way of things now and presumably they'll figure that out.  Fools!

Bright blessings

I love that Advent calendar. We bought one for our new rescue dog, a five year old Great Dane, he loved it!

Oh Lord! I so hope you do NOT end up with an insurance hassle over and above due process!!!

We are BIG fans of Advent Calendars... and I don't blame you a bit for being "ridiculously chuffed" by your teas... a little treat to look forward to every day is important. My parents are currently ridiculously chuffed over the Advent Cheese Calendar I managed to find, and The Divine Miss O is ridiculously chuffed for the second year over a Body Shop Advent Calendar filled with a variety of full-size beauty products... a new one to crow over each day, and then for the whole of the year until it's time for the next. I'm ridiculously chuffed over the delight I've manged to inspire in those I love! I bought an extra cheese calendar for us to share as a family. Next year I'm going to see if I can find an Advent WINE calendar!
(Dearly Beloved has a co-worker that had a beer one last year, LOL. Can you imagine... one full-size can of beer each day of Advent?)

So, I hope your Advent-ure takes the edge off and brightens you current situation, making the end of your day feel merry and bright regardless of how it starts out, and what may ensure in between!
