We the North-
Saturday, December 07, 2019
I decided to post a few pictures of the "North"---
The lake is now covered with ice and snow--but---no-one--ever goes on it yet--till after Xmas--maybe even into January--The ice is very thin as yet-
Living up in the North does have its benefits-- no traffic--- one is able to access free spaces--like -walking in the bush right at yer doorstep--
This is the bridge I cross on my way to the Boat Launch---at the one end of the lake-- close to our home- It really is a Ski-Doo trail--
Oh--We have over 4000 lakes very close to this town-- all with clean unpolluted water--great lakes to swim in--and fish (if yu do)-
There are , of course, drawbacks to living so far from civilization--
Specialists for health care are 2 hrs away-----We do not have too many stores for shopping--- but that has been rectified now with online shopping-- with parcels (like oranges) being dropped inside our gate , in the snow---
This is our gate, by the way--- put there to keep the Germans in---
Do I love the North?-- Of course I do!--- But--- One must be strong to live here-- As my daughter says, "Life is tough up there Mom."
But--I do have Spark--a reminder that walking keeps the ol' body fit---
Lord love a Duck!-- And ice cream is not a great thing to eat!
-this time of year--- I think of the above--which is not going to happen *S*
