Seasons Change

Saturday, December 07, 2019

Good morning friends.. Yesterday was a really great day.. Amazing workout, fantastic breakfast, asparagus, omelet with brie cheese and herbs de provence and some truffle sea salt.

Lunch was the left over thai butternut squash/apple soup that I took up a notch by adding some coconut curry shrimp. For snacks I had a babybel light cheese and an apple.

Dinner was at the fundraiser and I chose a little of the broccoli and cavatelli, some of the pepper steak and salad. For dessert, one of my sisters pumpkin cider donuts and I sat and mindlessly ate the little mini chocolate kisses that were part of the beautiful center pieces.. yes a good day indeed.. raising awareness and money for an really important cause.. addiction...

Slept in this morning, both my sister and I decided separately to go to the 930am #cko class instead of 8 as it's a fundraiser and we were both so comfy and cozy so as I was enjoying my coffee I checked the #decemberphotochallenge and today the keyword is #season.. and I thought very appropriate because on the plan today is step one in the Christmas decorating, changing the silk flower vase that sits atop my tv corner cabinet.

I have a box in the attic filled with flowers for every season and when I arrange them sometimes it is just right easily, sometimes I struggle and rearrange and rearrange until I am pleased with the display.. I have so many pretty flowers, sometimes I can't decide which ones should be front and center or how to arrange them so they best compliment one another.. this morning I found myself struggling.. so I left the flowers and headed to kickboxing..

Came home made a cup of coffee and jumped in the shower.. got out and no coffee cup.. it was then I realized my coffee was all over the counter.. must have been some workout because I didn't even get annoyed, I just laughed and said "DUH".. to myself.. so I cleaned the mess made another cup and focused on my flowers.. after several attempts I am happy with the results...

Sometimes we need to take a step away from something when it is giving us a hard time and forget about it. When we come back to it we can many times see what was missing before with much more clarity and ease.

Have a super Saturday... off to the church bazaar, then I have some planning to do for my quick trip to Arizona next week, then off to bowling but not before I make myself a lovely dinner of chilean sea bass with spinach and tomatoes in a garlic cream sauce..

Life is great.
