Jumped Into the Christmas Spirit With Both Feet

Gist of this eek... Bacon wrapped quail appetizers at a Christmas party that just happened to take place on my birthday...! Most gourmet birthday EVER!
Spent yesterday helping a homeschool mom teach her FOUR BOYS how to make some folded paper Christmas ornaments for them to give...
then spent THIS morning As a docent at a house in the annual Fundraiser that involves homes decorated for Christmas.....the one I volunteered at is a new house on the cliff overlooking the Guadalupe river, one of the best inner-tubing rivers in Texas..... It was AWESOME! Gloriously decorated, it was BEAUTIFUL! My post was the lanai room (and patio) that had the most amazing entertainment areas, with an infinity pool with jets for lap swimming, big screen tv, several seating areas, built in kitchen with grill and fridge, and enormous sliding glass doors which stood wide open,....
and it was a glorious day to be outside, sunshiny and 75 degrees... in my daydreaming from this gorgeous terrace, I could imagine mounting a catapult to launch water balloons at the summertime tubers far below on the river.... you would have to compensate for wind and current, not to mention actual paddlers, of course, but I’m guessing you could get really good at it after a while... it would make for fun target practice!
Next weekend is Aggie Mom Cookie Bake when we rent a local high school cafeteria complex and bake 5 different kinds of German Christmas cookies from Friday afternoon as soon as school lets out, until all the orders are filled, usually about midnight Saturday (around the clock, what a challenge!) We work in shifts of about 20 people each, and usually bake around 1000 dozen... this has been a fundraiser for more than 60 years, and I’ve heard people say that “it doesn’t feel like Christmas without Aggie Mom cookies”
So I’m really getting in the spirit Big Time....
Always remembering that Jesus is the Reason for the Season!
How about you?
