Then Jesus arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, "Peace, be still." And the wind ceased and there was a great calm
There may be no greater compliment than this: "She is always there when I need her!" Do you have someone like that in your life? Is there anyone who could say that about you? Loyalty, presence, dependability, sacrifice--all those traits make a person some who will be there when needed.
The disciples of Jesus--and that includes us--had someone in their lives like that. His name was Jesus. On two separate occasions Jesus was absent from them ir lives when they got in trouble on the Sea of Galilee. Once, Jesus was asleep in the boat and not aware a storm had arisen, so the disciples felt alone. Another time they were alone--crossing the Sea while Jesus remained behind. In both instances, Jesus entered the scene when things were at their worst and He calmed the seas. Preparing to depart from the earth, Jesus promised the disciples He would always be with them. "Lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
Jesus will always be there when you need Him, too. Trust Him to be with you in your hour of need. He is always there.
