Yes, the snow was coming down sideways the last time I looked outside. And the solar panels don’t work so swell covered in snow (never mind that there’s no sunshine...). It snowed most of last night, slowed this morning ... with a break for sunshine from sunrise to midday... and returned to snowing heavily with high winds. It was all of 8F this morning, and has warmed slightly through the day. It is currently 20F, but the windchill is about 10F. It is also windy enough that the chickadees are getting blown off of the bird feeder. Poor little birdies!
I am taking an hour or so to just sit in front of the wood stove, surrounded by dogs, and reading (or I will be after I post this).
It’s supposed to start warming back up tomorrow. And get up to almost 50F in the next couple of days. We shall see.
When it’s cold and windy like this the Cooper-dog really just wants to sit with me in front of the wood stove, under a blanket, curled up in my lap.
And my exercise routine gets adjusted. I prefer early morning walks, but when it’s this cold I cannot face the outdoors early. So I wait until the sun is well up, before heading out. And let me tell you... it’s all about layers! Flannel, wool, canvas, tech... I had them all on today, lol.
I will have to bring you guys up to speed on what’s going on with me in another blog, but it has been “interesting”...
Wherever you are in the world I hope you have a marvelous day!
