December 11th~ back to town, hee hee

Wednesday, December 11, 2019

Since most town trips mean my DIL goes too..it is impossible to get their gifts and keep a surprise. So today I loaded me up and took off to SAM's. I had already decided what I was going to get her, but did not wanna load it in a cart with her standing next to me. As usual with SAM's the item I meant to get was no longer there,,but wa la, found one that is even better!
Grabbed a few items that I had forgotten and on my way home. One of the fastest trips I have ever made to SAM's!
It warmed to a soaring 46 today with wind chill in the low 30's. Molly was so happy to be out this afternoon and able to run for a bit. We had our usual game of chase the ball till she got tired and took her ball into the porch. Then later on as I walked into the bedroom with a load of clothes to fold, there she stood with this huge white ball in her mouth and I swear she was grinning she was so happy with it! Only issue, it was the wool dryer ball I use ..so bad Mum that I am I took it from her! Gave her a brand new shiny,,err fuzzy tennis ball, she got on the bed with it , laid it down and looked at me to let me know it was a poor substitute for the beautiful ball she found in the laundry room..
The hens are getting used to the early to bed routine. They were staying out till there was no light left, with our cold temps they are now tucked in almost as soon as the sun begins to fade.
It stays cozy warm in their lil house once all the doors are closed for a bit. My little white hen just stays fluffed up, she is so tiny but none of the other hens like her so she doesn't have a cuddle buddy. Poor ole Sir CrowsAlot just sits there on the bottom rung all by himself. That big Red Hen really knocked his crown off his head.
So that is the day here..tis about wrapped up and ready to tuck in for the night.
Rest well ..headed into the last half of the week!
