We loaded up and off to Wallyworld..Walmart! I really enjoy shopping this time of year cause folks are so nice! The holiday spirit is everywhere and most everyone is smiling. The few that weren't I prefer to think were focused and thinking hard. They got a smile from me I hope they passed it on! We got the items needed, now the work at home starts. I have jelly to make , presents to wrap. I got Gene a gift card,,he needs jeans but is so hard to fit, so he will get a box with lots of paper in it so he can dig till he finds the REAL gift. I mean Tammys gift box is so big I can't just give him an envalope!!
So jelly to make , put colorful ribbon on and deliver. I might even have time to make small bread loaves to go with! The Avocado muffins I made were so popular I may make a huge batch of those to pass out with the jelly!
The big excitement this afternoon was that Tammy and Gene saw a Bobcat over at one of the places that has been empty for some time. They thought at first it was a really big feral cat, then got a good look at it! I am thinking now that might have been what scared Molly so bad one night when she was in the front porch with hair on end , barking with a "stay away" sound to her voice! I am glad I am in the habit of closing everyone up every night. Don't need to be feeding Bobcat's chicken that is for sure!
Molly loves her tennis balls. I was surprised that she does not destroy them, but she doesn't chew on them like she does on some of her other toys. I learned that any toys with stuffing are a waste of time. I got one that said..chew proof...well it took her all of 10 minutes to tear the end off and start pulling the stuffing out! She doesn't chew or swallow it..mouths it a bit then spits it out to help decorate the house. The yarn braided toys last the best but she can even shred those in time. I think she has gotten the last of her molars in finally and doesn't seem to be munching things as much as she once did.
We are supposed to have a big storm coming in Sat night thru Sunday with lots of snow! We will see. Gene is going after more wood on Sat so we will be restocked just in case!
I hope everyone is enjoying the holiday , however they celebrate. It is a wonderful time to just enjoy!
