Hiking Hedgehog Mt.

I need a change of pace, and to get in more steps. When I hike, my blood sugar levels are at their best. My BP is lower, and I feel really good.
My husband and I are heading to a small peak that is close to our home. We will dress in layers as it should be cold. We will also bring a thermos of hot herbal tea to drink with our lunch.
Winter hikes are always quieter and interesting. I can see the footprints of the forest creatures, and just knowing what has crossed the path is fun. Maybe we will see a squirrel on the summit. Who knows? We will be prepared for whatever we find.
