Football Day!

Sunday, December 15, 2019

Attended worship this morning and heard another great message on God being "with" us. I am never happy when I cannot participate in the singing, but this sore throat won't be around much longer.

Once home I took a nap before the first football game started and was offered either Seattle or KC to watch. Chose the KC game to watch the snow. LOL The next game shown was Falcons/49ers and it wasn't one I cared about, but I did enjoy the Falcons winning in the very final seconds. I was sad to see the Raiders lost their very last game at the Oakland Coliseum. Next year it's Las Vegas as their home base. Wish Oakland hadn't let them go so easily, but they are going to have an amazing stadium.

Tim took Maegann to quick care for her sinus infection so she is now on antibiotics and can get over this "cold" that has hung on for her for about a month off and on. Afterwards she went to pick up Jeff once he was off work so he could come help her out with the outside Christmas lights, but before they got busy with that task, we had Jeff snag a family photo for us for the Christmas letter before Tim left for the airport. (On his way back to Reno for the week.)

Now I can finish the cards tomorrow and have them out Tuesday! Isaac rarely smiles (this is the "mean mugging" face that he gets called on by people at school saying he is angry) and we just went with what we had.

And then the decorators got busy and Maegann sent me photos of her helpers, Jeff and Auggie.

I see some pretty lights from the front window and it makes my heart happy. I love the lights and have felt badly that my stomach bug, trip and surgery kept me from getting this tradition done. Now, it feels a little more like Christmas around here.

Unless the kids ask to watch something else the Steelers game is just starting and I'm fine with that game.

Tomorrow I will go with Maegann to her doctor's appointment and then I need to call one client--the one I've put off since Friday due to laryngitis--and then I'll do whatever I choose.
