I refused an apple fritter at 10 AM while in the grocery store. The timing is important because they are really fresh, having just baked them for the day. They are a favorite that is not available to me frequently.
I thought about my short term and long term gratification and goals. In the short term, I knew I would love sinking my teeth into this sweet, sugary, and fried goodness. In the long term, the apple fritter would clog my arteries and raise my blood sugar and wreak havoc on other parts of my body. In the long term I would feel physically awful for eating it and it was a lot of calories (400). I would have to track this and burn off the calories.
I want to weigh less and be healthier. Cheers to me!
