We had Christmas at our house on the 25th, but my sister is undergoing chemotherapy, so we had Christmas with her and her boyfriend yesterday. My sis is doing so well! She says she is feeling fine and she seems better than ever in terms of her spirits. It was still a long day because it's a 3-hour drive each way and we have 2 dogs that need to get fed. Our younger son was able to go along and that was really special because my mom and sister hadn't seen him in over a year.
All in all, much better than I was expecting and I am so hoping that she is going to be OK, but the prognosis wasn't good. It's one day at a time. One of my goals for next year is to be grateful for all of my blessings and try for a more positive outlook overall.
May you recognize all your Blessings.. the big ones and the little ones.
It is surely tough when those we love are stricken with harsh illnesses.
