Continued Gym Saga, Sigh

Does anyone else re-read their blogs because it documents what-happened-when in their past? Sometimes it is helpful to remember where you've been, what has happened along your journey, and gain some perspective on how you should proceed.
The fact that the blogs are dated has been useful as well. Over 4 years ago, I had a traumatic experience at my gym, which still brings me to tears. And if I hadn't blogged about the incident, I wouldn't have remembered how long it's been (time flies by, as you know). Unfortunately, the saga of my gym experiences have continued.
After the biking accident that caused my "happy place" to make me sad, I was fortunate enough to have another option available (it was a major chain, 24/7 Fitness, that had a sister-gym across town). It was hard to leave my spinning friends, but life goes on. I made my peace with it, and made wonderful new friends at my new gym.
Then during 2019, word that the sister-gym was being closed down hit hard...meaning I would have to start all over again. And it meant leaving another set of friends, as they could go across town to the main gym, no problem. I could not...and I had to relieve the trauma all over again, having to tell my friends, one-by-one, why I wasn't going to be able to follow them.
Long story short, I joined a brand new gym (Snap Fitness), and was trying real hard to adjust to the change. It is now three months later and they have closed their doors as well! So here I am, looking at my 3rd gym in 1 one year (who ever said change was good?)!!!
As you can see, I am REALLY starting fresh in the New Year, hoping to find a new "happy place." Is it any wonder my motivation has been lacking this year? And my health has suffered immensely.
Time to turn things around! I am now a member of Planet Fitness, and to be honest with you...I am quite surprised how comfortable I'm feeling already, after only 3 workout visits. And I actually met up with a few other people I knew from the last 2 gym experiences.
So I am signing off, hopeful
