Self love and appreciation. Two very important things we should all know in our lifetime. You can change a million things in your life, but none of it matters if you do not love and appreciate YOURSELF! Seriously, ask yourself why am I doing this? Why are you losing weight or putting the cigarettes down? Why are you eating healthier or beginning a new life in God? Are you doing it for yourself or someone else. It's ok to want to do these things for someone else, like your children or spouse, family member, girlfriend/ boyfriend but your number one reason has to be for YOURSELF. If you are changing something in you for someone else you are going to fail. Your heart has to be in 100% for you to succeed.
I myself have have decided that I need to make some changes not for anyone else but I chose to do it for me. Losing weight.. I chose that because i'm tired of being tired, not being able to play around with grand kids like i want to. Afraid to go on a ride or do something because I think I'm too big. I don't want all the aches and pains that come with carrying this extra weight. Will my husband see a sexier me if I loose weight..well let's face it yes he will. Will my kids and grand kids be happier if I can keep up with them without being winded? Of course. But will they love and adore me the same if I stay the size I am.. most definitely. Therefore, I have chosen to walk this journey and make these changes for myself but in time it will also be a benefit to others. I have learned that I am someone great and I deserve to be happy and healthy. I am making these changes because I want to be a better me for me.
