Last Day of the Year... and Decade...

Tuesday, December 31, 2019

Inertia seems to be settling in on this last day of the year, and I find myself looking around me at chores that should be done but no enthusiasm for doing them....

If nothing else, I SHOULD be excited about a new year, a fresh start, a clean slate! But I’m not feeling it!

If I don’t get some motivation soon, I am going to slip into the Fake It Until You Make It Mode....

Because even if that elusive motivation NEVER shows up, I am WORTH making changes for, whether the changes come from motivation or not...

One day at a time, one moment at a time,... one year (or decade) at a time...

Sometimes a little break, down time is warranted. Some inner things may need it...and when the inner gets what it needs we can be reenergized in new ways.

You'e been through a lot this year, too, and I think that sort of colors the momentum for the new year. At least it does for me. It'll come eventually

I hear ya. 2020 is the year that I HAVE to make some big changes, though.
    Happy New Year!

Sometimes a person runs out of steam. It's alright.

Just as long as you are content.

Every minute is new. I was going to clean out my closet, but found that I just couldn't. Maybe this year...

    Take care.

Some days I just don't seem to have the "want to", and I figure that's OK. One of the nice things about being retired is that I spend more time doing the things I WANT to do and less time on the "should" and "have to" projects. I've discovered on some of those they aren't nearly as pressing as I make them out to be. More important on the last day of the year to reflect back on all the fun memories, personal growth and great experiences I was able to have in 2019!

I agree with the one moment/day/year at a time. If it doesn't work take time to change it!

Happy and Blessed New Year! emoticon emoticon emoticon
