On the Runway

I am on the run way and getting ready for take-off. Yesterday I did my pre-flight check and got a good idea of where I want to go.

I am off to a slow start, but I am going step by step. My first steps are going to be working on a food journal and getting in my 64 ounces of water a day. I am going to do my best to eliminate soda. I have done that recently and found that I didn't even miss it. I can't believe that I started drinking it again, not everyday, but occasionally. Yesterday I allowed myself to drink the last soda that I had in my possession. I even held myself accountable for it and recorded it. Yes, you saw that right, I put it in a food journal. I have actually kept one for two days now.

Just as people have to make an appointment with themselves to do exercise, so do I with keeping a food journal. I am going to do my best to record my food in the SparkPeople journal online after eating, although if I can't then I will write it down on a piece of paper and record it before I go to bed at night.

Due to health reasons I have to limit my fluid intake. All liquids are suppose to count for my fluid intake. I am going to choose to drink healthy liquids. The soda just has to go. Even though all fluids count, I want most of them to be water.

I have managed to record my food two days in a row. Little by little I will get there. Every steps counts. As they say, "If you eat it, write it down."
