A Stationery Making, Letter Writing...Kind of Day
Sunday, January 05, 2020
Today is a day that I am making some stationery so I can write some letters and notes to some ladies. I love making stationery! It's nice to write a real letter, handwritten or typed to give to others. I love mailing them with a real stamp and envelope. As it's fun to see a 'REAL' letter in the mail these days.
I am getting ready to write thank you letters to others for all they do and what they mean to me and others, how they touch the lives around them.
I once received a nice note in my church mailbox from a lady who thanked me for baking treats on a Sunday morning to share with the congregation. It was handwritten and started out with words of how she was sitting down how the weather was and the day it was. She described it as though I was sitting right there and could see the day. Then she thanked me for the treats mentioning how she never would imagine herself taking the treats but saw the blueberry pie and had to have a piece. It really made my day.
When is the last time you wrote and mailed a letter? Maybe it's a nice time to start again with this now 'old fashioned' form of communication. You could just make someone's day.
