So far, I am really enjoying my January SMART Goals!
Food - My overall food goal is to build healthy, consistent, nurturing eating habits.
Packing a lunch is going well so far, but it is a bit challenging. I will have to keep working to make it easier on myself. But I love having a nice lunch waiting for me at lunchtime.
One strategy I'm adding in based on my reflections from last week is to reduce sugar by a lot. I don't feel great when I have it and I just want more and more. So, 2 days ago I dropped it really low and I'm already feeling much calmer in my appetite.
Fitness - My overall fitness goal for January is to work on flexibility, strength, and recovery from shoulder pain
Last week I did well on cardio, but I could definitely stand to add more strength training in. My shoulder is still hurting quite a bit, so I have to be careful about what I do.
Fun - I HAVE to reduce stress. There is a lot happening between now and the end of March, and I need to be able to handle it all with grace
Last week I saw a good improvement in this area! I like my strategies for working toward this goal. One goal is a spa night once a week, and that was my favorite thing. I did a face mask and a special magnesium bath and it was great.
I think I'd like to add in a bit of meditation this week and see how that goes.
Overall, I'm really enjoying having goals that benefit me - I feel better when I do them! Can't wait to see what happens this week!
