I decided to track my intake for the day today and got quite the shock- I am still eating a lot more than I thought I was. Just having a baby a month ago, I am not quite ready to get back into daily/strict food logging as that's not appropriate right now. But I just wanted to see what my intake has looked like this last 2 weeks or so. Yikes! I didn't realize how often I am reaching for sugar... Dove Dark Chocolates. I figured I was doing much better since I am not drinking nearly as much soda, nor are we eating out/carry out but rarely. It's the sugar and it's the small doses throughout the day. I am glad I did this today so I can see the *Death by a Thousand Cuts*. My meals are fine, portioned, etc. It's popping the chocolates throughout the day along with a can of Sprite that's doing me in. I also need to get more protein... that's been sliding recently, too.
It's something I can do now without it impacting my recovery or baby. And it's good to it under control now vs kicking the Sugar Can down the road.
