Wednesday Weigh In
Wednesday, January 22, 2020
My weigh in day in the past was always a Monday. Apart from when I was preparing to be the THE Hottest Most Stylish Mother of The Bride Ever in The History of Humankind at THE Wedding of The Century - when I changed it to a Friday. Since The Big Move of course I haven't had a regular weigh in day on account of not having any scales here. Tbh it hasn't bothered me in the slightest. 'Weigh In' has been when I've been back 'home' and hopped on Elaine's scales. Which I did again this visit and discovered I'd put a bit back on since my last visit in November. Hardly a surprise. Anyway, when we were loading up the van with some of my stuff from Elaine's garage, I came across my Super Duper do Everything for you Digital Scales. As an aside, they still haven't EVER made my morning tea for me let alone prepared dinner. Or trundled off to get the shopping. Clearly they really aren't that Super Duper are they? Be that as it may, I unpacked them Tuesday and of course the batteries were flat. Incredibly, my battery charger did make it here some time ago and even more amazingly, I knew exactly where it was. Of course the Super Duper do Everything for you Digital Scales take 6 batteries and the charger only does 4 at a time hence it took until this morning to fully charge.
Meh! Wednesday is as good a day to weigh in as any other imho. You're free of course to suggest otherwise. So there I was - Super Duper do Everything for you Digital Scales at the ready. It would have been rude not to put them through their paces doncha think? Turns out A] Elaine's scales are pretty much in line with mine and B] I've gained a little bit since my last visit 'home' in November [as previously mentioned] but C] I have still lost half a stone since The Big Move. Granted not mind blowing but better than a gain I reckon.
Other discoveries so far whilst unpacking what we loaded from Elaine's garage include some of my favourite bottles of perfume, my wedding dress, some really good hand and face cream, and my ice cream/lolly moulds which I thought had been left behind. Also I was ridiculously excited to unpack my huge jar of cumin powder. I think one of the gang packed that even though I didn't tell them to. In addition 3 boxes of tea bags, two bottles of lemon juice, and a packet of veggie suet. Don't ask me - I haven't a frigging clue!
