Took some chances

Friday, January 24, 2020

Yesterday (Thursday) was a good day but I did stick my neck out a bit. Drove to the gym in the morning to take my Aqua Fit class. Figured out its best to hang my tote bag with my clothes & stuff on a hook in the pool area. I was putting my bag in a locker but then I realized I would have to walk in the locker room soaking wet from the class and was worried that someone might slip on my puddles. So I'm figuring things out - think I almost have a system down. Quite afternoon doing some chores around the house and catching up on my emails. Went to a meeting last night with a group I really admire but haven't been involved with for many years. I took a chance and got the meeting information and figured out where it was. I went an hour early by mistake but once realized went back home for 30 minutes and returned at the correct time. It was tempting to stay home but I really need to get involved with this group as it has helped me so much in the past. Everyone there was very welcoming and that was a relief. I pushed myself to go and I'm glad I did. I plan on going every week to continue on my healthy journey. Once I got home after the meeting I was pretty tired and went to my room to read and chill. Fell asleep early and woke up early this morning which is fine as I have a lot of computer work to complete. Peace out.

emoticon Like you, I have to push myself to get involved with others. I'm a homebody for sure! So one of my goals this year is to be more "social" and actually get out and do some of the things I enjoy. This past week I attended my Yoga class and Knitting/Quilting group at the local Senior Center. And like you, I really enjoyed myself and plan to continue going every week. emoticon
