It’s Slow Going

Friday, January 24, 2020

I focused on staying home and trying to deal with getting a bunch of little nagging things while I waited for the tree trimmers who PROMISED they would come back today after several days of rain so they could finish their work and haul away all the brush they had amassed (they didn’t come back, and, while I’m not exactly “disgruntled”, I am far from being gruntled- as P.G. Wodehouse used to say) But I AM making progress in getting rid of STUFF!

Anyhow, I’m wading through boxes that have apparently become my own personal Smithsonian, full of forgotten and abandoned treasures,

It’s all good! But I really DO have to get rid of some stuff!

Status Report:
1) Still working my way through the mystery foods in the freezer... good news is that the ground chicken breast that I’ve pre-browned months ago makes excellent pizzas when combined with Flat Out flatbread (high protein, high fiber!) and it’s FAST!

2) YouTube videos can teach me some of the things that I need to know, and I’m getting some good experience searching, (and finding) the exact way to word my queries for efficient results.

3) M&Ms sharing-size bags were on sale a few weeks ago, Buy 1- Get 1 Free, and I bought some but have been saving them for a luncheon I’m hosting next week.... and am confident that I will NOT eat them apart from that plan

Yes, it's amazing how we can get distracted sorting thru stuff. It's kind of fun, though.

Decluttering is it's own self analysis journey. If you can, sirt into g stacks or piles: Keep, Donate & Maybe which you sort thru again in a few weeks or months. Then group like items together so you know what you have. Fun & funny what we have.

I find the workers down here have their own time clock. Manana, manana which sometimes doesn't come. Love hearing you have gotten rain. We are dry, dry and hoping rain happens tomorrow, manana!!
