Very pleased that I hit my January goal of consistently hitting 10k/steps per day! It took a full month... mainly because i was sick for 3 weeks of the month. I almost despaired that I couldn't do it. Then one morning I vowed that I would do it, no matter what... and I did!
I can't say that it is getting easier, but I have learned from my endeavor. I learned to treat my step counting much like reaching 8 glasses/day: spread it out during the course of the day. I strive to get 1k before my morning walk. That typically gets me to 7k by noon. After that, I just continue to monitor, and move!
I also love my new Galaxy Active watch! She reminds me to move if she doesn't detect any movement in an hour. It also allows me freedom to move away from my phone while in the house...I was using my phone as my pedometer. All in all, very happy with it!
This reflection brings me to Feb goals. I vow to maintain my current weight for Feb. We are going camping for 2.5 weeks, heading to FL. It will be a true test of my ability to continue the good habits I've developed over the past 3 months.
So to meet my goal, I will walk 4x/week, make healthy food choices, drink my ration of water daily, and continue 10k/ steps per day. This will be difficult since much of my time on travel days will be sitting. So I will make the most of our stops to get some steps in.
