2020, Day 41: Still Here!

Monday, February 10, 2020

Oy, I've been terrible about blogging lately!

I'm doing well on exercise - got some running in this morning - though still struggling with the after-dinner snacking. Someone suggested brushing my teeth after dinner, I like that idea!

I was tired yesterday so I took it easy all day. I remembered that my dad's mom did a family history back in the 1980s, so I dug out that binder and spent a couple hours getting everything entered into Ancestry. Sooooo addictive! I'm having a lot of fun with it. I think it makes me feel a little more connected with my parents (who are both gone).

I got myself a Garmin Vivoactive after xmas and I'm really loving it. So nice to have one watch for everything - before, I was using a Garmine Forerunner for workouts and a Fitbit Versa to track daily steps. Nice to be a little more streamlined, so to speak. And it "yells" at me to move if I sit too long, LOL! My Versa always nudged me at ten minutes to the hour if I hadn't gotten enough steps in, but this one buzzes if I've been sitting (or just not moving) for too long.

All the sickness going around is scary - flu, coronavirus (hasn't hit Sacramento yet, as far as I know) - but thankfully my family seems to be avoiding the worst of it so far, just colds. Doing my best to keep up on sleep and exercise, that always seems to help me stave off the bad stuff.

Well, I'd better stop procrastinating and get back to work. Happy Monday!

Happy Monday! You might also try hot tea after dinner instead of a snack. Maybe something with floral notes to feel like a treat.
