Day 78: (Posting Early) On A Roll Writing
Wednesday, February 26, 2020
I'm posting a little early because today was a really productive day for me. I did get some sleep earlier so I'm rested up now and ready to work for the night. Maybe it wasn't a productive day in all aspects, but in one really important way. I actually felt good and I felt motivated, so I was able to sit down and really write the way I wanted to. I enjoyed the day and wouldn't have rather have spent it in any other way.
I didn't work out, but that was because I was so busy all day. I don't know if I'll work out tomorrow morning or not. My allergies are pretty bad and my back/ribs are hurting, and tomorrow is cardio day, which I'm not really up to, but maybe I'll do an easy chair workout instead. I'm on such a roll with my writing that I don't really want to stop for anything.
Today wasn't a super great eating day. I was hungrier probably because I worked so hard. I tend to be hungrier on days that I really write a lot. So I ended up eating a lot more than I had really intended to. But planning to cut back for the next few days.
Didn't do any meditations. Will try to get one in tomorrow as I know how important meditation is and I try to keep it as a first priority.
Read a few chapters of my revision book. That ended up being the best thing I could've done. It really inspired me to get going on my writing. That's initially what got me started writing again. I wasn't really inspired to do anything and then I decided to just make myself read one chapter of my revision book and that really got me going. My writing reference books are usually pretty good in that respect. It helped me to see things as doable and also helped me to see another writer's process of "revision" before they even start writing a story, which encouraged me with my own writing. So there is a lot of value in those writing reference books.
Still have yet to catch up on podcasts. Just been so busy.
Since I've been writing so much, I've still been smoking. Not as worried about it since I have a lot of money right now and a lot of novel writing to do.
There was no ice, so no attempts at drinking water either. Need to make some ice.
I wrote twelve pages today: more than a chapter of my book. That's the most I've ever written in a day, so I'm pretty proud of myself. I only have 25 chapters left to write now. I'm doing really well right now and feeling really inspired. I'm confident in this manuscript and feeling good about sending it to agents. I've done so much work outlining it ahead of time, as well, that writing synopses and query letters should be fairly simple, as well. Already looking ahead to that seeing as I don't anticipate it taking very long to write this book. But I have a really good feeling about this particular manuscript. It's been super fun to write and is turning out better than my previous novels. I think it has a good chance.
